12pcs 6″ Bamboo Handle Crochet Hook Knit Craft Knitting Needle Weave Yarn 3-10mm

I love these hooks! I have never used bamboo hooks and bought these solely for the price and the larger hooks. I have a complete set of aluminum and steel hooks, but did not have some of the larger hooks. I like sustainable items so I decided to give these a try. I was very impressed. I prefer to use them over my aluminum or plastic hooks. The look and feel great. I sometimes get lost in my crochet projects and can be at it for hours after a long day at work on the computer. With my other hooks, my hand sometimes starts to get stiff a bit (I’m a middle age person with no arthritis) and the needles are rather cold to the touch. The bamboo hooks are softer on the hands and warmer to the touch. I also don’t get yarn snags with them like I do with some of my alumimum hooks. I know that there have been reviews about bamboo hooks having to be sanded or oiled. I don’t know if those are for this particular brand, but my hooks arrived well made, without rough edges or sharp points and I did not have to treat them in any way. I began using them immediately and could tell the difference. My stitches are more concise and they glide over all types and weights of yarn. The only negative I have about them is that the size can be difficult to read on the smaller hooks and on some of the larger hooks that are not stamped with the darker size. They also do not have the American alpha sizing on the hooks. This is not a problem for me as most patterns give both the Alpha size and the mm size, and I tend to choose my hook based on the yarn style anyway and don’t always go with the recommended size from the label or pattern. If you want a different hook experience these are for you. they get smoother the more you use them, like any wood or bamboo product. They are also very nice to look at with grain markings and varying coloration from the bamboo. You’ll definitely enjoy them. I just ordered two more sets. One to keep as back up needles (I tend to work on multiple projects and don’t like to go in search of hooks) and one to give to a close friend. The price makes it easy to buy multiple sets. [...]
