Description EARLY 1900’s HOURGLASS ANTIQUE VINTAGE QUILT TOP – GORGEOUS IRISES SETTING FABRIC! This is a lovely HOURGLASS Antique Quilt Top with the most delicious feature floral fabric with what looks to be irises! I purchased this quilt top in 2006 from Maine: USA and it measures 77” x 77”. There are 48 x hand pieced Hourglass blocks each measuring 7” x 7 plus 56 x setting blocks of equal size…..that’s lots of large pieces of usable fabric to rescue for use in restoring your ol’ lovelies! Personally I bought it JUST for that Irises fabric and had planned to take it apart…..look how our maker seems to have pieced together her special scraps of a favourite fabric. This quilt top is in great condition for its age….the fabrics themselves are in very good order, stitching & seams are tight & I don’t think it’s ever been laundered. The biggest issue is to do with staining to the top: it looks to be critter damage….perhaps urine during storage which should come out with a good soak. This item comes from a non-smoking household with no pets coming into contact with the quilts and fabric. I am very happy to combine shipping to save you on postage.
